I've spent more time over the last few
days talking to Anik, and Amit's name

Ugly Women Wanted

A plea for lovelorn female "ugly ducklings" to move to a remote Australian mining town to reverse a shortage of eligible women has landed the local mayor in hot water.

Mt Isa Mayor John Molony was refusing to apologize on Monday for angering local women with a suggestion that "with five blokes to every girl, may I suggest that beauty-disadvantaged women should proceed to Mount Isa," in north-west Queensland state.

"Quite often you will see walking down the street a lass who is not so attractive with a wide smile on her face. Whether it is recollection of something previous or anticipation for the next evening, there is a degree of happiness," Molony told the Townsville Bulletin newspaper last week.

"Some, in other places in Australia, need to proceed to Mount Isa where happiness awaits. Really, beauty is only skin deep. Isn't there a fairy tale about an ugly duckling that evolves into a beautiful swan," Molony said.

The mayor said he was "telling it like it is" in a testosterone-laden town more famous for cowboys and mining lead, silver, copper and zinc than for match-making, sitting atop one of the world's biggest underground mines.

"I'm a bloke who respects women. I believe we should look after women. I'm told men outnumber women here by five to one. If that's the case, then perhaps it's an opportunity for some lonely women," Molony said.

Fellow council members and the local chamber of commerce said they had been swamped with phone calls from both women and men complaining about the mayor's remarks.

"It paints the women here as second rate and suggests the men will settle for anything. I think it's quite disgusting," Mt Isa domestic violence worker Shirley Slann told the Courier Mail newspaper on Monday.

Today is "content day" - the first of the four areas
you need to master to start raking in AdSense cash.

** Big Content Mistakes

Did your Mother ever tell you that 'everything in
moderation is okay'? Well, she was an AdSense genius
that woman!

There is a definite road to disaster with AdSense and
it comes by doing too much of one thing.

1. Don't have a site built purely from your own content.

Why? Because it will take too long to grow lots of pages.
Although unique, quality content is the bees knees if you
ignore other sources of content you are, to quote the
cheese-gurus, 'leaving money on the table'.

2. Don't have a site built purely from other people's
content.

Why? Because you'll have little that's unique on your
site. Every man and his dog tries to borrow other people's
content and use content that already exists elsewhere.
But that doesn't make it right:

"If you do what everybody else does, you'll get what
everybody else gets."

Search engines can frown on duplicate content so if you
use sources of content that are not unique you'll need to
do things to make those pages unique. But the best plan is
not build a site entirely from other people's content

3. Don't have a site built purely of 'synthesized' content.

Why? Because using fancy article-crawling-machines and other
'automatic content machines' will backfire on you eventually.
It might make you some revenue in the short-term but it's
like trying to build a house with bricks but no mortar.

Sure - it's WAY quicker, but I know which house I'd rather
live in and which one is still going to be there in a
year's time..

What is Google Adsense Quality Score?

In last week's comment, I talked about the power of AdSense forums. I could have said the same thing about all of the blogs dealing with AdSense too. There are plenty of those and they're stuffed with great information from people on the cutting edge of AdSense techniques.

The most important of these is probably AdSense's own blog.

That's always worth keeping an eye on. It's where any changes are likely to be announced, it's where you can pick up a few tips straight from the horse's mouth... and it's where you can sometimes get a behind the scenes view of how Google chooses the ads you get on your site.

That's really the big mystery of AdSense. Sure, we can play around with the keywords on the page and we can block ads that we don't want to display but that's about it. When we open our own web pages, we've really got no idea whether we're going to see ads for dried mangoes or for air tickets to Burkina Faso.

The latest entry at the AdSense Blog reveals a little about how ads are ranked and mentions a term that I doubt many people are family with: an ad's Quality Score.

According to Google, "Quality Score is determined by your [the AdWords advertiser's] keyword's clickthrough rate (CTR), relevance of your ad text, historical keyword performance, the quality of your ad's landing page, and other relevancy factors."

That's a whole bunch of different factors and like many of the things considered by Google, we don't know any of them as they relate to a particular ad (and neither do the AdWords advertisers).

What strikes me about this definition though isn't the relevance of ad text or historical keyword performance. If an ad isn't relevant or is dedicated to a poor-performing keyword, I don't want it.

It's the fact that Google also rates the quality of the ad's landing page.

I've got no idea how they measure that. What Google might consider a poor landing page someone else might think of as a good one.

As a publisher, I can pretty much let that ride. But I also have to drive traffic to my sites and if I'm using AdWords, it's just one more reason to make sure that my site looks the part.

Maybe that's Google's bonus contribution to the Internet: an incentive to increase the quality of Web pages. I just wish I knew Google's idea of quality.

How to Control a Business Meeting, Engineer vs Senior Management

It still amazes me the amount of experience and
knowledge I actually have.

A good imagination is needed for this so sit back
and relax:

Just came back from a meeting with the
maintenance business side of the Airline as I'm making
a new application for them too (I do more than
just airlinefreight.com). There was 2 other
people in the room and 2 on conference call. Of
the two people in the room, one is about 2 lvls
my senior (manager of my manager type person),
and the other is the project manager thats
running this project. The 2 guys on the phone
were technical.

After sitting there listening to crap for 15 mins
I put my foot down. I lent over the desk and
took control of the meeting! Used a Loud voice so the
people on the phone could hear as well I
explained what THEY were talking about, broke it
down to separate points and answered each
separate point peace meal.

At one stage my questions couldn't be answered so
we got another guy on the phone and the guy that
was 2 levels above me started explaining to the
guy on the phone exactly what we were asking. He
was using my EXACT words and phrases (typical
sales/business guy - no offence intended, its how
they work). The guy on the phone then blabbered
on for a while, till I interrupted him and told
him how it was. His actual words were "Oh .. ok
.. Thanks for your honest there, now blah blah
blah"!!! I might've been a bit blunt but as I
was leaving for the meeting one of my team of 3
resigned!

Best thing was, this manager next to me LOVED it.
The bluntness and the way I came to the point
and got it answered blew him away. After the
meeting we stayed and chatted for about 20 mins
and he was saying how happy he was he asked my
manager to step in (my manager handed it off to
me). Like it was his idea for me to take control
of it and work out how to implement this new
system.

After the meeting we were both walking the same
way so kept chatting about various stuff (mainly
how AT&T is stuffing the Airline Around) and he was
disappointed when I wasn't walking all the way to
his building as I work in a different building.

So although I've had one guy resign from my team,
I've just made my self a very valuable ally in
the maintenance business segment.

In terms of other investments, it seems Woods earns around 8% each year.

From when he kicked off his golf career in 1996 (This is when Tiger Woods turned pro) to the current day (2008), the figures are based on the Forbes' Celebrity 100 list. Last year (2007), we estimate Woods raked in around $115 million in dollar earnings, amazingly $65 million more than runner-up David Beckham. Interestingly it seems that Tiger Woods TV Ads and Commercials have even more potential to bring in more earnings for the Tiger.

Considering all these statistics and figures on what Tiger Woods earns from golf and endorsements, we project Tiger Woods should join our list of the world's billionaires in 2011.

Think of it this way; There are plenty of billionaires who have excelled at sports, like Switzerland's richest man and champion sailor Ernesto Bertarelli. But there are no billionaires who accumulated their fortune by playing sports. A representative for Woods did not respond to a request for comment. Look at other Golf high earners; such as Greg Norman - certainly a market leader at endorsements, Greg Norman Golf and/or the Shark Golf is nothing when compared to the might of the Tiger Woods endorsement machine.

A billionaire Tiger would also be unique for earning his money through paychecks. If a billionaire didn't inherit his or her money, he or she typically made it by holding a stake in a company with a soaring valuation: Think Bill Gates. He didn't make his billions from his Microsoft (nasdaq: MSFT - news - people ) salary, but from all the stock he owned.

Why are pages deindexed from Google

It's a question many ask; Why are Pages Deindexed by Google? Hmmm. I went in search of the answer tonight and found a good post which details the intervention from Google (both human edit and bot algorithm to delete (deindex) various pages from the index. In some cases it's due to (no value to visitors) and no value to Google.

For example, MFA (Made For AdSense) type sites trying to look 'fresh, edited and unique' when really they are a collection of RSS feeds, rotating content sprayed with AdSense squares.

So essentially the wild west seems to be reigning in. Google is riding rough shot to keep a big brother control on what essentially is their own future survival. If Google fills up with crap sites, their whole business model dies;

This example not only has a site to look at but it also has a response from Adam Lasnik that tells a deeper tale. In short, a site gets deindexed for two basic reasons:

It has no value to visitors.
It has no value to Google.

The site owner for Alken M.R.S Publishing (click the link and take a look) is not having a nice day. Alan did as many people who dream of making money online, built micro sites on many subjects to harness organic search engine traffic for “keywords” (made for adsense). He was over at Google Groups looking for help and thinking it might be some sort of technical thing when in reality (as confirmed by Adam Lasnik) his content was de-indexed because it had greedy intent. Now we are talking, getting deindexed for greed, that has a nice ring to it eh?

Anyhoo, here was Adam’s (Google’s) response:

I think it’s time for some tough love here, Alan.

Imagine this scenario. You walk into a store and some guy — surprisingly the owner — grabs you by the shoulder.

“How’d you like some beer? Oh, hey, we also sell coffee. Hmm… you don’t want something to drink? We specialize in air purifiers, too! And you know what… after you drink some beer next to your new air purifier, I bet you could use a date, right? No, no, not the eating kind… I’m talking a really nice lady! And if she ends up stealing your identity, well, no problem! I sell Identity Theft protection services… and… wait! Wait…come back!!!”

How much would you trust that guy? Or his store? Sure, he may have small leaflets on a zillion topics, but he’s not an expert in any.

If you, as an independent observer, came across such a store online, would you trust it anymore? If not, why should Google see this as an important and relevant site?

The reductions in rankings you’ve experienced are not going to be reversed by simple technical or structural changes. You may wish to focus your efforts, add compelling, original, and substantive content or tools, and *then* file a reconsideration request.

I have been following Matt Cutts, Adam Lasnik and others around on the internet studying their responses for a year or more now. You can learn more about what not to do from these guys than anyone. This also should give you a glimpse into the future, how do you survive such an onslaught to your content? Simple, if you want to have multiple websites or micro sites do them on subjects you truly understand and are passionate about and it will show, get greedy and become a content spammer and you will suffer tough Google love.

The difference a week can make. It's been a hectic past 2 months for me, arriving back in Sydney and trying to establish a footing again. It seems like an endless stream of paperwork! However, there are plenty of positives to keep me distracted.

Being closer to family is a great feeling, re-establishing connections that I have neglected in previous years is a good step forward. Being closer to friends and your valued acquaintances makes everything seem understandable again.

While moving away from my gorgeous daughter has been one of the toughest things I have ever had to do; I think for everyone concerned it made the most sense. Living in a environment of consistent disagreement, lack of cohesion and limited if any future direction if any at all would certainly be a setup that would hold anyone back.

In saying all this, when times arise that you second guess yourself and ponder the situation - a hot bath with a glass of red wine provides a great benefit and a feeling of relaxation and independence that has been virtually unobtainable in previous years.

Time is a constant; we must take every positive we can and continue to move forward and enjoy every moment we can.

I must say it. It has been a very hectic past 2 months after returning to Sydney and I have really fallen behind on my blog here at the 30 Day Man. Ironically, it's coming up to 1 year since this blog was started - it was soon after I found the 30 Day Challenge and I believe Ed Dale and the team are about to get things underway for the 2008 Challenge - which I am sure will be exciting!

But have faith.

I am returning. I need to get back into my routine of daily posting, and of course there will be the odd pay per post and smorty write-up which are always handy.

Yes, it's been 'love you long time' - I haven't posted on the blog since April 13th and sadly have been a little busy.

I've been in Nelson and Hamilton New Zealand for 4-5 days and have only recently flew back to Australia.

I was over in Nelson to see family and went to Hamilton to see the V8 Supercar Series - held in Hamilton for the first time. And the Hamilton 400 certainly didn't disappoint, plenty of thrills and spills and a huge crowd for the first ever event there.

The NRL is heating up in Australia now, with the Rugby League competition into full swing and into Round 7 - loving it!

I’d have to say my most enjoyable holiday vacation was to the hot spot of Las Vegas! You’ve heard the talk, you’ve seen the pictures and yes, it’s absolutely true. Late nights, dance clubs, lots of fun and yes – plenty of wagering and gambling action on whatever type of game or sport you like.

Been toying with the advantages of free private label rights stuff in the last 24 hours. Managed to find a few online sites offering the PLR stuff for free, however when you are getting it for nothing there is always the risk that the articles have already been used somewhere else.

Where possible I have been using copyscape to see if the material has been used on other sites and I certainly recommend this to anyone thinking of using free PLR articles.

Man, I have found it hard to dedicate time to my blogrolls as I restart full-time work. I actually considering selling-off some of my blogs to give me more time and stop me from feeling guilty for not writing a blog.

I read a funny little snippet, I think it was over at Shoemoneys blog - saying that a few bloggers died from a heart-attack because they were so stressed out about blog posts. Pretty scary stuff! I think thats more a case of old world media and the newspapers beating up the story, they do love to beat up internet stories.

Anyway, my answer has been to 'schedule' time to post and work on the blogs. By adding it to the Outlook calender or diary, you can see when you've gotta put the time in and make it happen. Sounds simple, but try it - it does help.

Now all I need to do is find time to use my blogreader (Bloglines) and browse the RSS feeds of the other blogs I check out regularly.

If you're anything like me you are getting way too information every day from the internet and blogs - have the battle being to filter out the junk and try to save the important stuff.

Starting with Bloglines, thats the best way to keep abreast of daily blog posts quickly and the best part is - it allows you to sort amazingly quick. So you have your long list of subscribed RSS feeds in Bloglines and you quickly use the shortkeys to dash down the list of blogs, only stopping for important titles.

Without RSS readers sorting through blogs woud be a nightmare.

If your email inbox is like mine, its usually full of informative posts too. Many are sales letters sure, but I still like to receive these as some contain some decent tips or content - you need to be ruthless here and sort through these quickly too.

Google algorithm changes? Freshness helps more

I've seen some big changes in Google in the past 48 hours. Some of my websites, a couple of which were top 3 in the SERPS have now falling back to 6th and 7th. Some changes across the board - I feel this change might be related to freshness of the content perhaps.

I have reduced my posting from 2-3 posts a day down to around 1 and I think this may be a contributing factor.

I also think that backlinks from Blogger and free hosting domains have been reduced in terms of authority - so we're seeing sites built with this in the backend start to look like a house of cards.

Ive now started back at my fulltime job and its certainly been hard keeping on top of my blogroll. Getting the pay for the fulltime work is great, but you really need to schedule your time otherwise you simply don't get anything done for yourself.

Its the same old story, time rich and money poor or time poor and money rich. Its so true.

Ive been watching a bit of UFC in my spare time, I am really warming to this MMA (mixed martial arts stuff) The contact in this sport is unbelievable and I hope to get into more and more. I caught a re-run of a previous pay per view event and it was top notch, I might even grab some pay per view live events when they arise!

I've recently flown back into Sydney, Australia after a stint of near 6 months in New Zealand. Certainly a shock to the system, the time in New Zealand fairly relaxed - a population which is tiny compared to Australia.

In fact, the population of NSW (New South Wales) is greater than the whole of New Zealand.

Anyway, while the traffic snarls are back and things are quite busy in Sydney - it certainly provides much more opporunity to those living in the place.

Today I head back into fulltime work with my previous Sydney employer - so it's back to the future and into the daily grind.

I've been keeping my eye on Mark over at 45n5.com who this year has set about recording a video on his blog almost every day. An interesting concept and certainly a big commitment, I don't know if the idea is a success - there are times when you notice that the content or topic isn't extremely solid, probably due to the fact that Mark has to raise a new point each day.

However, his video recently about Blog Competitions and prizes was quite a good one. I couldn't agree more - it seems like every 2nd blog is running a competition to draw in readers. And they make you jump through so many hoops, you may as well employ a sidekick for $2 an hour to help you qualify. Things like having to do a 'post about the comp', make 10 comments here, add 12 of my secret RSS feed letters and multiply it by 2000 then take away 2.

All too much. Total waste of time. Spend the time creating content or maybe promoting your blog on social networking or similar sites.

Some Made for Adsense Sites

I've been whipping up a few 'Made for Adsense' sites, I thought I would share them and throw some numbers up as to how long it took to create them.

The first one, targeting one of the major payout keywords for Adsense is a UK Home Owner Loans Mortgage Based site that I am hoping to get some success from the long tail keyword.

It probably only took me around 15 minutes to create this site, in addition I pumped it through feedburner and syndicated the feed a bit to setup for the extra inbound links as I create content for it. I used an existing blogger template of mine, allowing my to paste the AdSense Leaderboard across the very top. (Not many templates allow you to do this)

The other site I whipped up was based around Google Adsense itself. I have probably in excess of 40 different sites trying to retrieve revenue from AdSense, but one of the biggest paying keywords is the 'Google Adsense' term it self.

By creating this site: What is Google Adsense - It allows me to not only work with the keyword itself, but its a topic I can speak on confidently - and I can generate endless content. By syndicating it through feedburner I have the option to pump the html redesigned feed to other minor blog sources to increase the backlinks eventually.

My AdSense revenue has seen a nice increase in the past 3 months, recently I am creeping up on the $35 dollar a day mark which is not bad for a hobby type setup and added up, I'm looking at around $1000 a month. :)

It's amazing how quickly it can add up. Earning a small amount of money consistently each and every day - you will be pleasantly surprised.

Guitar Hero on XBOX 360 nearly killed me

Just had a group of mates over and they brought round their Xbox 360 consoles and Guitar Hero Guitars to get into some gaming action. Hooked up to my Panasonic 52" plasma screen the High Definition action was pretty cool.

I only have an original Xbox, it's chipped and modified for a large hard disk but I mostly use it for movie streaming and media centre applications. So the Xbox 360 action was a nice change.

Just one problem - Maaaan, how hard is guitar hero?

Even on the basic level, playing a song I know its so hard to get the hand co-ordination going on the neck fo the guitar. Seriously tricky. I spend too much time on the toilet

I may have mentioned it here on the blog before, but I really to spend too much time on the toilet. Sound a bit personal? Well, give me a second and you will see where I am going with this topic.

I always get really constipated and as a result of spending ages on the toilet, I would generally have to have a stack of reading material or a good book in there.

As technology advanced I took things to another level and using the power of wireless networking, I would take my laptop to the toilet with me and subsequently check emails, write blog posts and do general web stuff that needed doing. Why waste 20 minutes on the loo when you can be productive right?

Well, the answer to my prayers is here. I found this colon cleaning powder 'Colon Cleanse' online that might be able to reduce my toilet time!

Totally by accident today, I found filehippo.com - I was actually browsing the web trying to find a download site for Lavasoft's AdAware. I usually grab this from download.com - but for some reason the file being linked was screwed up.

So anyway, I stumbled on filehippo.com - initially it looked like any old 'shareware' style file provision site. However I noticed their RSS subscriber badge said 30,000+ RSS subscribers and realised that these guys publish latest software releases almost daily to stacks of people through their RSS feed.

Backlinks fresh and regular help SEO

I wanted to quickly mention something that I have found helped me achieve the highest search engine rankings for my NRL site.

On the google.com.au engine, I am up against quite heavy competition for the keyword NRL. After regular article posting and some white hat backlinks generated I eventually climbed up to second position for the keyterm. The leading position would be hard to crack, given that it's the official National Rugby League site. (Similar to say the NFL in the USA)

However, I noticed when I stopped getting as many fresh daily backlinks to my articles - I was quickly pipped for second place and pushed back to third place.

Frustrating sure. But if you are running the SEO tool for FireFox and you see the amount of backlinks my competitors have over me - it's amazing I am actually in the top 10, let alone 2nd or 3rd place. AdSense and Gambling Sites. Not Allowed

I ran into a bit of a speed bump earlier this week. I have recently created a few gambling sites, of which I mentioned here on this blog;

All sites looked pretty cool and quickly climbed up the Google rankings and had decent SERPs. After throwing some AdSense onto the sites, I was seeing some good payouts based on the crowded gambling 'AdWords' bidding.

However, I loaded up the pages earlier this week and saw all the advertising from AdSense had stopped loading. I saw a considerable drop in AdSense revenue which explained the drop out. I received no email from Google, but after reading a few website and checking the TOS again - it seems AdSense isn't allowed 'with direct gambling (poker, blackjack etc) sites'. Now if you mention gambling terms as I am doing here in this post - it seems like you're ok. But flat out advertising on a gambling related site aint allowed.

A shame, but I have had to turn my video site focus to other areas - some of which are high paying keywords, but I will just need to boost the search engine rankings again for these newer pages.

Wow, this is the 200th post for the 30 Day Man! Amazing statistic really, never did I think this blog would grow to see so many posts. After starting way back in early August 2007 as a base for the 30 Day Challenge - this little blog has been running ever since!

Thirty Day Challenge boss Ed Dale has put me onto another great little secret, that is Yahoo Pipes - the free RSS feed aggregating service that allows you to generate new, unique content feeds from multiple sources. A powerful tool to get yourself some great content without having to be typing for hours on end. The current mortgage market

Does having a large mortgage, or even worse multiple mortgages worry you? I certainly get a bit jittery at times. As interest rates fluctuate, I tend to get a little nervous and start checking my mortgage balance quite regularly!

It's a silly, nervous habit really. I have two mortgages, both of them investment based mortgages and of those, one is a Fixed Rate Mortgage. The other home loan thats currently at a variable rate only has a small balance owing and the rental returns are quite healthy - certainly positively geared.

So why do I worry?

I probably can't answer that simply. As new reports come in from around the globe and the pressure continues on mortgage rates - I suppose it's only natural to worry. I tend to get anxious after the evening news discusses defaults on mortgages and predicts doom and gloom. Even though there is no benefit, I simply continue to check the balance and bite my nails as I look at whats owning in total.

Having a mortgage thats fixed does take a lot of the worry away from your investment. Sure, if rates go down quite quickly you might find yourself paying slightly more - but for the benefit of piece of mind and the ability to budget so precisely; having a fixed product makes so much sense.

So while I have my moments of worry, I know I have a solid product and overall, my investment returns are quite healthy specifically in the mid to long term.

My old mate Ed Dale has now started broadcasting on Justin.TV and I had the pleasure of tuning in today to see what all the fuss was about.

I had heard bits and pieces about Justin.TV but had never really taken the time to check it out or utilize it as a marketing or promotional tool.

After sitting through Ed's - 30 Day Challenge presentation (live streaming) today, I was quite impressed. The Justin.TV interface is solid, allowing users to feedback constantly on the stream and the buffering and delivery was fine, considering there were several thousand views on at once.

Certainly a great medium and one that should 'take the next step, on from YouTube'. At present we all know video is huge. YouTube has taken video to the masses, but Justin.TV can literally turn any home into a 'live' video broadcasting studio. Ultimately a home tv studio.

I'll be looking into it further as a tool for my major sports website over at NRL Results and the potential to sportscast the NRL and Rugby League over there will be a massive opportunity.

Yahoo and GoDaddy Domains lead the list

I mentioned a few posts back, that I have managed to get a list of the highest paying keywords that on average generate higher returns in their niches. While there are a few unusual ones, the chart topping titles of 'Domain Yahoo', 'Domains Yahoo' and 'Yahoo Web Hosting' are all not surprising in the heated market of domain registration and the cut through web hosting business.

Also high on the list are the advertising keywords from the law and order niches. Illinois Law, Law Wisconsin and Law Ohio all remain high on the list of the highest paying keywords and coming soon after these law keywords are the finance and mortgage industry.

The mortgage and finance keywords didn't surprise me, as you see a stack of affiliate sites all built around mortgage and money lending. I have seen quite a few Smorty and PayPerPost requests from this niche in particular. Examples: 100 Home Equity Loan, UK Homeowner Loans, Adverse Credit Remortgage.

The other high rating area was that of Google Adsense and Google Affiliate, both returning handsome sums to their owners.

The final two areas on the list revolved around hair removal, laser hair removal and other medical specialist terms. And the last few keyterms were around the cellular industry, ATT, AT&T and AT&T Wireless.

The Rubicon Project Reviewed

As many of you guys know, I started running the Rubicon Project here on the 30 Day Man to maximize the advertising networks available to me and basically make things easier rather than having to manage multiple networks, heaps of html code and rotating banners.

The Rubicon Project simply makes sense. No wonder it has won awards and looks to be the next big thing. Taking heaps of Ad Networks and doing the ground work for publishers is very smart.

However after a month or more of usage, I haven't seen the major results I was hoping for. Initially I was only running Rubicon here on the 30 Day Man - but after finding the interface easy to use and seeing the potential I rolled it out to my major sports and football blog at NRL Results and sadly the Rubicon Project failed to deliver.

Heres the scenario, prior to installing the Rubicon code - I was running vanilla AdSense on the website. Impressions were between 5000-6000 per day and my earnings were at least $20 USD or more each day.

After switching the AdSense for Rubicon, I saw a similar amount of impressions net me around $1-$2 a day. In a haste I quickly pulled the pin on the Rubicon code and went back to AdSense.

My first thoughts were; "Maybe the ad networks being used don't have the right content match for my sports site, which is Australian based and maybe suffering from USA only syndrome."

However, after a closer look - the Rubicon stats were broken down as follows: 4,350 impressions of Google AdSense for clicks totalling; 5 (CTR of 0.12) and earnings of $1.18. So how can the drop be so huge if they are using AdSense anyway? Pretty scary if you ask me.

1584 impressions went to Active Response Group for a total of 5 clicks also, and finally 851 went to CPX interactive for clicks of 1.

Pretty miserable stats. So the idea of Rubicon is great and I do hope more players come on board to advertise with them. I have been keen to speak to someone at Rubicon to get this all explained and hopefully that can happen. However, for now - I will keep Rubicon running here at the 30 Day Man as the content matching seems better and while the results haven't been awesome - they haven't been worse than previous testing with AdSense and other networks such as John Chows and the like.

Looking for a rapist

I heard a pretty scary story the other day and from what I am told it's true. A good friend of mine said he knew of a girl of around 27 years old that was finding it hard to meet a partner and remained a virgin.

He said that the girl was placing so much pressure on herself 'to have sex' that she was getting into dangerous territory. Her mind and thoughts, always focused on meeting 'any' guy and scoring. Frequenting night spots and putting herself out there in scary ways, she rarely if ever was able to meet a guy and felt her average looks and large frame would prevent her from every getting up close and personal with a guy.

Anyway, this next part gets real scary. Apparently in her home town, there was a period when a rapist was on the loose and authorities were on the lookout for the suspect - who was known to lurk outside clubs and public transport spots in the small hours of the morning.

It turns out, that once the girl heard of the rapist at large - she went 'looking' for this so-called rapist in the hope she could be 'victimised' and finally lose her virginity. I was dumbfounded when I heard this story and it still amazes me that a girl in such a position was somehow feeling so inadequate that she went in search of a monster like this. Standing at bus shelters and waiting on the streets until the early hours in the hope she could be abducted!

Fortunately friends told family and authorities of the girls attempts and she was quickly picked-up safely and held for medical examination.

Man you think things are tough in your own life until you hear stories like this that blow you away. I am still struggling to believe such a situation could arise!

Highest Paying Keywords

In the next couple of days I will be doing a post on the highest paying keywords that you can sink your monetizing teeth into with your blog or website.

I've had a good friend hand me a list of keywords that are pulling in serious figures for the blogs attacking these niches. Now the majority of these are in very competitive markets, so it's no cake walk - but its certainly nice to know which words are bringing in the big dollars so you can at least have a chance to attack it or you may possibly get lucky are score a ranking somewhere in the top 20.

Either way it's nice to know.

Anyway, I am lying in bed right now on the laptop and after having a few wines, I can't really get motivated to dig the list out and start typing those keywords in

Stay tuned, in the next day or so - all will be told.

(In the meantime, my AdSense revenue still remains strong. I am closing in on $25 USD per day which is great and 1/4 of the way to my target of $100 USD per day)

I have continued to use RubiCon Project for combined advertising here on this blog, however when I tried it on my other sites - the clickthroughs and earnings went WAY down from AdSense. So the content matching from other networks is no where near as good as the AdSense engine at this stage, or at least my niche didn't have relevant ads for those networks at this stage.

Home Hacker; Life Hacking Tips

Home Hacker is a perfectly concise blog and one that gives you the information you need and want without stuffing your face full of ad's and other unwanted stuff.

When Andrew who runs Home Hacker stopped by recently and checkout my Technorati Competition, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice blog at his end. Content wise, the blog covers off a lot of life hacking and general IT tips that will make your day to day PC existence much easier.

For example; "I just killed my computer, how do I fix it?" perfect for the home novice or the budding computer repair guy who trundles out to do a few cash repair and fix it jobs in his local area.

The other area I found pretty cool, was Andrews coverage of the general Windows errors and what to do when important files shit themselves or go MIA. Stuff like the ol' HAL.DLL or anything else in your Windows System 32 directory.. Man, scary just thinking about it. I am sure things will get even more stressful under Windows Vista. (We'll leave that for another day!)

Anyway, this is truly a handy blog and one I hope stays around for a long time to come. It seems like Andrew is also a keen EntreCard fan. The popularity of EC continues to grow and users are lining up thick and fast. What is Technorati? Get a free review and ECs

Technorati has been a bit of an enigma to me. I've half heartedly tried to push my blog up the rankings a few times, but I am probably guilty of not fully 'understanding Technorati' which is where I should start.

Personally, I don't use Technorati in any other form than just a social bookmarking or promotional tool to push my various websites up the link love rankings.

When I logged in today, I noticed my Technorati Authority has climbed a little - not bad considering I haven't really worked on.

So I thought heck, I am going to do two things. I am going to visit Technorati daily and try and get a greater overall understanding of the service. Forcing myself to visit, will give me a better picture of how it all works and hopefully this will rub off on promoting my sites.

Secondly (as much as I hate competitions) I thought by offering some incentives, I could get some fellow bloggers to add me to their Technorati favourites and boost my standings a little bit.

AdSense Growth and SEO Rank

I've been harping on this for a while now, but I am consistently seeing AdSense Revenue Growth and it's got me very excited.

I have started plotting my daily AdSense earnings on a spreadsheet now, so in a months time I will publish it here for all to see. So far in the past few days I have been recording things I am seeing at least a few cents growth every single day.

The good thing about the continued revenue and advertising earnings growth is that it motivates you to continue building your portfolio of online websites and blogs.

I have slowed down on the content creation for most of my sites now and am working hard on SEO Ranking them for the next few weeks.

As I see the sites / blogs move up in the Google SERP's I will then move back to more content creation and vice versa.

At the moment I have a big mix of Owned Domains, Blogspot and Wordpress.com addresses all mixed in. The SEO benefits of the blogspot.com domain are not to be discarded. While so worry they are building PageRank (PR) for a domain they don't own - the flipside is that the Google owned blogspot.com domain is seen in a good light by the Google search engine at least. They rank and get spidered VERY quickly.

For sites where regular content is being displayed, for neatness and repeat visits - you can't go past Wordpress. Harder for newbies to grasp and it does have some little quirks that can take you while - but in the end it's worth it.

I've been doing some charts on my structure of meshed link building, and it really looks scary! I divide it into three sections.

Section 1. A handful of 'base level' or throw away sites. These sites once they are ranking in the search engine are purely used to link and build 'link juice' for the middle range of promotional sites. These 3 to 4 sites only link to around 5-6 mid level promotional sites.

Section 2. Here I have around 5-6 mid level sites, from various domains. Some from blogspot.com, some from orble.com and a few owned domains of mine. With these sites (they have various PR, from 0 to 3) I purely write content and link to my network of 30+ adsense sites. These sites have slightly better quality than the level 1 sites and obviously all hold better link juice and work well from all domains.

Section 3. The Front Line. Here I have 30+ sites all pulling in AdSense revenue. Some of the newer video sites I released in the past month have quickly had 50+ pages spidered by Google which is exciting.

(Now I simply find the strongest and least busiest keywords in each niche and hit them big time with backlinks and cross referencing for best results)

I'd like to hear your thoughts or tips on how you build your network and achieve good results.

Google Indexing Results

I recently spoke about a software package I bought; Niche Video Sites. A server based software program that allows you (with your own hosting) to launch quick, yet large video sites on particular topics.

A few weeks have passed now since I went live; a few of the sites I created were:

a. Blackjack Strategy
b. Poker Blog
c. Roulette Strategy

Firstly, take a look at these sites by clicking the links above. Then go to google and do a search for (be sure and click - 'repeat the search with omitted results' when Google lists the results - so you get the full listings of the indexed pages)

a. You should see 14 indexed pages. Not bad for a thrown up site, it seems after a tiny bit of link building this site has been spidered a little deeper and more pages are being added daily.

b. 27 pages indexed! Amazing. (Remember to click 'omitted results')

c. Close to 60 index pages or at least links or references from other sites including YouTube. (This is a stunning result)

It's certainly been an interesting test and I would recommend the niche video site creation software to others. Having a server based creation client to all the work is great, the only hard part is performing some minor SEO work to boost your content up the rankings.

My AdSense has seen some nice growth, I now average over 3000 hits daily and am managing earnings of $15 a day - which is getting ever closer to my target of $100 US per day.

Broadbeach, Gold Coast Trip

Have flown back from New Zealand to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia to catch the official opening of the Skilled Park Stadium (Robina Stadium) which will be the new home of the NRL Team the Gold Coast Titans. I am covering the opening for my NRL site (NRLNEWS.COM - NRL Results).

I am really tired at the moment, a few nights of networking with various locals and officials (read: partying) it has taken it's toll and the game hasn't even started yet. Kick off is tonight at 7.30 and I am hoping to snare a few exclusives from the event. Have cameras ready and should have some live material up on YouTube in no time.

Am staying at Broadbeach which is a popular spot only 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise and has the Conrad Jupiters Casino and other handy local sports such as the Pacific Fair shopping centre and Oasis Shopping Mall right near by. (Oasis provides free wireless internet in their mall which is ok) It's only 802.11b and speed is average at best, but it does the job for basic connectivity and it's free - so all good.

Telstra provide a hotspot at good speeds but pricing is very expensive and certainly not worth it for most applications.

My growth with AdSense is going well, am now earning $13 US consistently each day and as it continues to grow - I get closer to my target of $100 US per day as soon as possible.

Over the Edge Seminar Ed Dale and Dan Raine

The Rubicon Project, Reviewed

I've had a chance to deploy the Rubicon Project on this site and early impressions are very good. For those of you who have heard, Rubicon is the future of web marketing. A smart piece of code enables webmasters and bloggers to automatically run selected contextual adverts from any number of providers; including: Google Adwords, Yahoo, AdBrite and many many more.

The reason AdSense is so successful and favoured by many new webmasters and bloggers, is because it's SO simple and you can be up and running quickly. Ok, it has it's limitations and doesn't pay all too high now - but Rubicon is set to keep Google AdSense honest and open up plenty of new doors to us.

While in beta stage at present, I have found the ad's that have been served up quite good. They have matched the context in most cases and for some reasons even the display of AdSense seems to perform better than when using AdSense code!

I am waiting to see how it performs for a month or so on this before rolling it out to my blogroll, but so far so good. The next steps are ensuring payment receival is easy and the amount of ad's served up continues to be vast.

Smart Linking Techniques

Man, I have been flatout for the past few hours establishing a major backlinking campaign to get a few of my newer sites right up in the search engine rankings. Most of us know how powerful a one way backlink can be, more importantly it needs to be a quality backlink!

By quality I mean the following:

- Similar Niche to the Site being Linked To
- Correct Anchor Text
- Not in a 'bad neighbourhood' ie: link farm, pxrn site or something similar
- Decent PageRank from the linker helps

Now generating links en-mass can be a long haul. Yes, if your quality is good it will occur naturally through forum promotion and industry promotion, but many of us don't have years to wait for decent ranking in the SERPS.

Anyway, I have been drawing mud-maps for my linking so I know whats going where. It looks kinda crazy so I thought I would take a snap shot of it for y'all to see. Now, let me fetch my Kodak Old School 4 megapixel Z700 series digital camera! (See Pic Above!)

Googlebot seems to be picking up things a little slower at the moment. There might be a major dance (Google Dance) that is , right around the corner. Lets hope the Google Page Rank Update for Feb 2008 is a good one.

Niche Video Site Builder

I've written a few times before about my on-going plan to continue the creation of blogs to bring in AdSense revenue for me. I have a wide range of blogs at the moment and yes, some are a little basic - but they continue to each bring in $1-$2 a day and I consistently try and grow the group overall and keep adding blogs along the way.

Anyway, I found a new weapon in my arsenal and I have been stoked with the results that I have seen from this cool piece of software. The Niche Video Site Builder is basically a script that instantly creates you adsense ready video sites that have a tonne of depth.

There are a few packages out there on the market that will give you an instant 'you-tube' style scrape site, but I found the niche video site builder to have good adsense integration, plus great neat templates and best of all, an no-brainer setup. Just setup your domain or subdomain, give the niche builder server FTP access, pick a topic and press GO. Seriously, it was that simple.

In other news, my Link Directory site is going well. Through some minor promotion its getting good hits and has had plenty of link signups. Hopefully AdSense CTR continues to grow!

MMA and Kickboxing in New Zealand

I went to my first real Mixed Martial Arts and Kick Boxing event here in New Zealand and I must say I was impressed by the sport and see it continuing to grow rapidly all around the world. Apart from a basic kick boxing event I watched in Phuket, Thailand I have never really seen pro fighting up close and live.

From the early lightweight bouts with full Muay Thai rules, which means the use of elbows and knees to the head are allowed were exciting and very entertaining.

The MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) stuff I see as a huge growth area, the excitement of virtually no rules and contrasting styles of fighting is simply amazing to watch. While the competitors I was watching certainly weren't world beaters, considering the sport is in it's infancy here in this country their showing was quite good. There were some quick wins, with some early submissions and a few battles that went the distance where the fighters were dead on their feet.

It was great to be close up to the ring, here in Nelson, New Zealand with such a tiny population the crowd total would not have exceeded 500 I think and we were only a few rows back from the ring itself.

Certainly different to what I am used, back in Sydney, Australia where I have lived most of my life - events such as this would be hosted in large stadiums or arenas to the tune of several thousand spectators. But, while the crowd atmosphere wasn't huge - it was nice not to have to line up for food, drinks and toilet stops.

While I don't get to watch too much UFC at present, it's something I really want to get into. I noticed popular blogger Shoemoney is soon about to release his own MMA style website on a good domain name: fighters.com - I wait with interest, as I said - this sport is going to continue to rise rapidly.

Business Advantage: Smiling Helps

A funny thing happened today. In the most unusual spot, the local supermarket of all places! I got a shot in the arm that helped me reap a tonne more success during my day at the office.

A big part of my day to day role involves selling. Recent times have been pretty successful, I have made a stack of new clients through forms of networking, referrals and even some cold calling. However, today was fairly poor in terms of results and I couldn't work out why I wasn't firing on all cylinders.

I was initially taken aback, but I quickly went over to her and said "Was I really looking that unhappy?" She laughed and quipped back "Yep, you looked way too serious! Lighten up."

At first I was a bit shocked about the comment, but then I thought hey maybe thats why I have been off the mark today in terms of generating new business. So after grabbing my energy drinks, I headed back to my office armed with the tip from the shop assistant.

I started making a few calls, some follow up calls at first then some cold calls. I was amazed, I got a much greater hit rate and even though these weren't face to face discussions, my attitude had gone from negative to majorly positive and suddenly it was rubbing off.

So my day ended pretty well and all because a young shop attendant gave me a simple little tip, that passing comment turned it all around. So just remember, smile it helps you in more ways than you think.

Shoemoney slaps readers in the face

Ahh every now and then a great video comes along to really put things in perspective. As a reader of Shoemoney, his latest Make Money Online video really caught my attention.

While I read Shoey regularly and I am sure many visitors here do to, you can sometimes get the feeling that Jeremy can be a little 'too cool for school' so to speak. There is no question Jeremy Schoemaker has achieved great success online, created and sold several web business, runs multiple successful websites and has his finger in a few pies - certainly deserving of congratulations.

Possibly I might be misunderstanding the guy, but at times I feel he sorta portrays the message "Hey I am mega successful, don't talk to me" - but upon watching his latest video (which is a good one) in which he chats candidly (while driving mind you! haha) about success and why so many people fail at making money online - I think certainly, that Shoey can be misunderstood at times because he demeanor in this video sort of gives you the feel that he is just a regular guy that has put in the effort to learn and build successful web businesses without relying or calling on others to help.

You can see from the video that Jeremy is being extremely candid, even mentioning that he himself feels his work ethic isn't great at times. I think the content on Shoemoney is so raw and from the heart, that it probably also contributes to the notion that he might be a tad pimp'ish. But on the flip side, thats probably what makes his blog so successful, in stark contrast to other bloggers - Shoey disregards the grammatical edits and stuff plus rarely if ever spends hours editing his content before release - it's just spewed out - raw !

Anyway, I really liked this vid so check it out and don't ever think about making money online or quitting your dayjob! :) (Seriously, nice vid Shoey)

Orble.com the hidden SEO secret

For anyone that regularly builds their backlinks and looks for various free platforms to establish a meshed blog network then I highly advise you to check out Orble.com

A good majority use the likes of Blogger.com for free blogs and establishing a good network of mini-blogs and hence a platform to establish backlinks. After the 30 Day Challenge last year with Ed Dale, a recommended choice of Tumblr.com as a good blogging / backlink platform was met by hostile admins and that soon become a poor choice for free blogging for SEO folk anyway.

The reason I have cited Orble.com as a good alternative or an addition to your meshed blog network, is that their interface is simple to use and their permalink structure is well suited to SEO.

While many people who have the bankroll tend to outsource their backlinking and on-going linking campaigns, a meshed blog network is extremely easy to setup, totally free and once established is very quick to maintain and add to.

It's probably something the bigger name websites and major players thumb their noses at these days, but creating say 10-20 blogs on a Blogger.com or Orble.com platform is quick and after a month of generating unique (only small at first, to save time) content will get you going.

The blogs will generally get PR in a month or two, and from there depending on what topics you picked - you can start posting with backlinks to your new or major websites to start building the link love.

So for folks already doing this, do checkout Orble.com - they seem to be getting a good amount of respect from Google at present. As it always pays to vary your backlinks, in addition to Blogger and Orble I also use - hubpages.com and thumblogger.com as alternative sites too.

Casino Review site now added to my portfolio

In a quest to expand my real estate online, I have registered the domain - www.hotonlinecasinos.info

Domains with the extension .info at GoDaddy are extremely cheap and using free online coupons (just search for Godaddy Coupons in Google) you get a nice little discount too.

I will now start writing up reviews for the 10 major online casinos and use affiliate links to refer traffic to their websites. Once my website is live, it will require some ongoing marketing and I will need to start targeting specific keywords and undertake a link building program to push the new site up the Google rankings.

One of the most important ingredients of basic SEO is your actual domain name. By picking a domain with 'online casinos' in the title - any keyword in Google with Online Casinos in the title will allow me a slight advantage over other sites that might only have 'Gambling or Review' in their domain titles.

My blog roll and online real estate patch is growing nicely, and my AdSense earnings are now getting close to $10 US per day which is a nice reward and very motivating. My portfolio now includes the following blogs and websites:

Sports Football (NRL News - is my flagship site covering the winter sport of Rugby League)

Self Help World (A blogger site where I post a combination of Videos and Text occasionally)

DOTA Tips (A blog where the popular Warcraft 3 game is discussed, getting 1.2k hits per day)

Best Backlinks (My recent experiment / a free link directory, hoping for bigger things)

World of Warcraft (My WoW site, which needs cleaning up - a little too ad based at present)

Sonny Bill Williams (The most popular Rugby League sports star within the NRL)

Cell and Mobile Phones (A work in progress, this blog gets semi-decent traffic and 4% CTR)

These are my main earners at present, while some need some cleaning up - they are each doing their little bit. The addition of the casino reviews website, along with some other niche sites - probably in the area of music, cricket and film are next on my list.

My goal is to get my network of sites pushing that $100 per day barrier.

I have re-categorized this post due to an initial misplacement -

Regardless of which part of the world you are in now, the walls of the financial community are shaking. Share markets are dipping, housing markets and stagnant or falling and the outlook isn't too good in the short to mid term. Best suggestion is to throw your cash under the mattress for now.

Well that is unless you have some major nerves of steel and are ready to snap up some bargains. In the USA, interest rates are being sliced to generate some growth. That means an ideal time to grab those loans and try and drum up some investments through the fire sales that are happening all over the place. I personally prefer the housing market to shares, but hey - if you get in while things are at rock bottom, some good bargains could be had.

So start to compare credit cards, make sure you are on the best rate and then swoop in for the kill in other areas too. Secured loans might be a little bit scary, as that involves a little more risk - however if you look back over history, investments for the long term generally prove rewarding and if you have access to the capital to start building you empire.. who knows, you could be the next Donald Trump.

So be cautious, but don't be put off by the doom and gloom and inflationary expectations. Get into the fray and make the deals.

Starting a Casino Review Website

One of the things I have been wanting to do for a while is start a Casino Review website. For those that don't know, Online Casinos offer good affiliate programs for webmasters to send traffic their way.

Paying decent PPC rates and offering good bonuses when the traffic signs up, smart operators have now developed large scale websites purely targeting online casino reviews and the chance to get large scale referrals and of course juicy bonuses and payouts.

I have been doing some review writing for one of the major players in this market. I don't want to quote their name here for fear of losing my paid review role, but needless to say - they have a massive bankroll to spend on improving their review site in terms of SEO, exposure, amount of casinos on their books and of course the reviews themselves.

Through my paid review role, I have got a good look at what they are targetting in terms of keywords and what the future may hold. So with this in mind, I will look to kick off something similar very soon.

Nursing Skills save lives

We had a bit of a situation earlier this week. One of our friends fell quite ill, very suddenly while we were at the beach. A lady in her late 50's, she was quickly dizzy and soon lost her balance. As we lay around on the beach, suddenly panic set in.

You think in those situations you have enough common sense to assist and aid the person in trouble, but it all happened so fast - yet when she was violently ill, we all felt helpless. A health lady, it may have been the sun that got to her. It's been quite hot here and the direct exposure to the sunlight may have caused her to fall ill.

Nevertheless, if we didn't have an off duty nurse nearby, then we truly might have been in more danger than we realized.

Such an undervalued profession, certainly in our part of the world - we don't have near enough nurses. Many nurses are leaving the profession and that is a sad shame. With the help of a nurse, we were able to quickly get our friend back to relative health and get her to hospital in much better shape than first thought.

It's for this reason I encouraged my younger cousin and her friends to get involved with nursing and look at it as a potential profession. Well respected and well paid, it is a job that would be satisfying no doubt - when you're helping people daily, and sometimes saving lives. Positions such as a Licensed Vocational Nurse who have undertaken LVN programs - truly have chosen a rewarding and special career.

Even Online there is plenty of information and access to things such as a Vocational Nursing Program or a similar study course that could get you into such a field. I certainly hope my cousin chooses such an option.

If you're looking to select a career that really gives back to the community and rewards you regularly - the please, investigate the profession of nursing and make a difference every day.

Frank Kerns Mass Control

Anyone around the internet marketing niche would have heard of Frank Kern's Mass Control system by now. Recently promoted and released to the public, Kern's training program aims to give budding internet marketers an advantage an insight how to sell a product in large volume.

I am always interested in seeing what the respected internet marketers have to offer and even with Kern's early promotional videos - some of the content I found quite valuable. Even some of the simple tips, (sometimes overlooked by all of us) were ideal in the area of list building, picking the right niche and ensuring that targeted customers are in a 'buy cycle'.

After following things up to the official release, I decided I would sign up for Kern's training program and try take my other ventures to the next level. As most IM's promise, the program would be closed after a certain amount of sign ups were accepted. This is usually hype and mega promotion but I was surprised to see the 'House Closed' sign up at the Mass Control website shortly after arriving.

So it seems Kern is staying true to his word and I now have to rely on blog entries and periodic free content releases. It's well worth checking out - visit www.masscontrol.com and see what you think. As I said, even the free content has value so you are sure to come away with something useful.

Recovering from the dead, finally!

A few days back, I really couldn't muster enough energy to do anything. I rarely get sick, but when I do - it seems to hit hard. But, the best way to bounce back is to get outdoors and start enjoying the sun.

This little part of New Zealand we are in called Nelson, has a huge amount of sunshine hours and the weather is generally perfect. Surrounded by mountains and great views - I got outside and let my little daughter cheer me up. Chelsea is around 1 and half years old now and starting to get very active and interested in everything!

She just loves paddling in her little pool and getting down to the beach when we can.

Here's a quick picture my wife took of me and Chelsea (above) with my aging Kodak Z700 4 megapixel camera. The camera is a little old now but is still able to take some good shots in the various modes.

In other news my AdSense earnings are consistently above $5 dollars a day now, which has been encouraging - as I continue to add new blogs, with new varied niche topics and good regularly content, the stream of hits is adding to daily revenue!

Sick as hell

Got sick last night. Had a bad case of the runs, actually made it worse by having a seafood pizza before realising how sick I really was. Man, that Pizza hut was repeating on me for longer than I care to remember...

Anyway, i've been in bed most of the past 24 hours - was struggling to think of a blog topic for the first time in ages.

Hope to be back tomorow - healthier and with some decent news to report.

Until then, it's back to the toilet and some more immodium tablets.
