Unsigned Artist Marketplace

As upcoming artists struggle for exposure and airtime; a cool new website is offering the spotlight for the good independent artists upcoming artists and it's easy to flick through and checkout the new stuff by genre.

As an unsigned band you can easily signup and start getting your work uploaded and likewise for interested fans - it's a simple sign-up and process to get listening to the good stuff.

I'm a big fan of hip hop stuff and looking through the artists on there was quite impressive. It kinda reminded me of strolling down Venice Beach, LA - where the hopeful artists would offer you their earphones and demo their independent work. But on top of this there is every type of genre; literally hundreds. Reggae artists through to hardcore artists are featured.

Make sure you check out the artist 'Alexia' under the hip hop genre; a hip hop cross soul artist that kind of reminded me of Maxi Priest from the late 80's ... Very cool.

The site is a great idea; as a fan you can not only check things out too but you can create playlists too and really get heaps of quality stuff from these artists and obviously your views are helping promote the artist and pushing them up the lists.
