Busy last 24 hours

Marching hard into the New Year, I hit the Gym yesterday and took a free trial pass to get ready to sign up for 12 months.

It went well, I haven't been to the gym in 4 years - but a solid 40 minute cycle session had me feeling good and no after effects today!

Gym rates and facilities aren't too bad, I will have to spend $16NZ dollars a week to access the new gym (less than 6 months old) called City Fitness. Massive setup, hundreds of cardio and weight machines, indoor basketball court and class rooms as well as the sauna, tanning salons and huge shower and changing rooms with all the handy stuff.

Because the gym is so new, there is no faulty gear or run down areas - it looks good. Didn't seem crowded and I made sure I visited at the peak time to get a feel for this. Some nice eye candy there too! But overall, the general vibe from the other gym members was good. They were pretty welcoming. (I loved being able to watch TV on the plasma screens or listen to music vids while I worked out, that's always pretty cool)

Think I will sign up today.

I am keen to do more resistance / weight work this time, it seems in the past I have spent too much time on cardio and have fitness levels right up, but not the bodytone I have wanted. I find the classes quite good, boxing and weight class as being in a classroom environment you get pushed hard by the instructors. Much less chance of slackening off.

I want to work hard to keep this New Years resolution in addition to sending some of my websites into overdrive for 2008.
