This quite simply blew me away. In my new adopted small town of Nelson, New Zealand I took the liberty of shooting some videos of the local area (beaches, roads and landmarks) I uploaded these to YouTube so my family back in Australia could see. Here's the video below (the most recent one I shot while driving)
After the video was online a short time, I got a long email from a person in the UK - this person used to live in Nelson some 20 or so years ago and was amazed at the growth and change in this tiny little remote town. After a small email exchange, they asked if I could shoot some more videos from some other parts of the town and it was quite amazing to see how small the world is when the likes of YouTube are around.
So while video is certainly the next step in the Web 2.0 revolution, you just get a shock at who is watching all your video content.
Apologies for the delays in the past week or so for posts, my NRL News site is getting back into swing for the 2008 Rugby League season - so it's taking up some of my time. Thanks for your patience.
